Dear Community Hospital Friend,
As we begin to emerge from our Covid Cocoons, we are reminded of Charles Dickens who wrote in A Tale of Two Cities, “it was the best of times, it was the worst of times…” - which also rings true for AHN-Westfield Memorial Hospital and its Foundation during the past 18 Covid-infused months.
With each passing month, it became more and more evident just how essential our hospital is to those it serves. Working with its partner, Allegheny Health Network (AHN), AHN-Westfield Memorial Hospital rose to be among the first in the area to disperse the available Covid-19 vaccine to all those who sought freedom from the virus’s grip. Distributing the vaccine locally literally helped to save the lives and livelihoods of countless parents, grandparents, spouses, children, friends, neighbors and co-workers.
The delivery of high quality healthcare by AHN-Westfield Memorial and its clinicians remain a top priority for you, a friend, or a loved one. The foundation supported its mission in 2021 by providing funding for Laboratory Department equipment and telehealth technology bringing more services to our community.
Knowing that our community hospital is located in the heart of the village and that all your medical needs can be met right on Main Street is more than comforting. We also offer a speedy and direct connection to the numerous major medical facilities of our parent AHN.
The pandemic has put a strain on all parts of America’s vast, but fragmented healthcare system. And because these stresses are even more pronounced in rural communities such as ours, we recognize the importance of funding the WMHF endowment in order to ensure quality healthcare for future generations.
We are asking for the best of us to give, in the worst of times, to help grow The WMHF Endowment: The Little Hospital That Could!
Checks may be made payable to the WMH Foundation by Dec. 31st and sent back in the enclosed reply envelope for your convenience. Thank you for making a difference in the community hospital you trust, and who trusts in you.
